Fuad Atanda-Lawal is a dedicated public servant, community leader, and development advocate committed to promoting sustainable development, contributing to the wellbeing of the communities he serves.
His career is defined by a consistent focus on impactful governance and social progress. Mr. Atanda-Lawal began his education at Army Children’s School before proceeding to St. Gregory’s College. He holds a degree in International Relations from Covenant University and a Master’s degree in International Business and Management from De Montfort University, Leicester, United Kingdom.
Prior to assuming public office, Mr. Atanda-Lawal cultivated extensive experience across the private and public sectors, notably with the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON). This experience strengthened his expertise in corporate strategy, organisational governance, and the dynamics of Nigeria’s financial landscape.
In 2017, he was elected as the Executive Chairman of Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA. Throughout his eight-year tenure, his leadership was guided by a steadfast conviction: that the true measure of government lies in the enduring legacy it leaves for its constituents.
He is currently the Founder and Chairman of the Fuad Atanda-Lawal Foundation, with a focus on healthcare, education, youth and women empowerment. Through the Foundation, he provides annual support for university students’ tuition and living expenses and is currently overseeing the total reconstruction of two primary schools in Obalende.
He is currently the APC candidate for House of Representatives, Eti-Osa Federal constituency at the 2027 general elections.
He is happily married with kids.
